Today I am asking you to sign the World Hepatitis Alliance’s 2008 campaign, called ‘Am I Number 12?’ which is market by World Hepatitis Awareness Day on May 19th. Signing up takes one minute at www.aminumber12.org. I ask this of you because Hepatitis is a viral infection that is getting way out of hand. It’s estimated that around 500 million individuals worldwide are currently the sufferers of Hepatitis B or C (not to mention the other forms of the disease, Hep. A, D, E, F and G).
In short, Hepatitis continues to be a highly infectious disease as the risks of catching it are largely unknown by the public. By signing the Campaign you are helping to raise awareness of these risks and hopefully stop people contracting it in the future.
